Hi everyone! Happy December. Hope it’s treating you well. I’m going to be talking about my newest piece of gear. My camp chair. I purchased it last summer after my old one was no longer working for me.
I introduced it in my Bear Head Lake post. If you haven’t seen that one yet, check it out.

What I like
- Sun shade. When you’re prone to sunburn like I am, you’ll take all the protection you can get.
- Sturdy and firm. I need a solid chair so it won’t throw my pelvis and back off, and this one has tight enough fabric that it works for me
- Bag! It comes in a heavy duty drawstring bag with a carrying strap. It easily fits back into it when it isn’t in use.
- Storage. There is a cup holder and a pouch that is big enough to hold a phone, lighter, etc.
What I don’t
- The sunshade can be tricky to line up when collapsing the chair. It isn’t hard to line up, just takes a second.
Price
I purchased this chair at Walmart for around $45-50. Initially, I thought it was on sale for $35, so there was a bit of a shock at the register. In all reality though, it’s a nice chair and I’m not sad I spent the money on it. Chairs range in price from about $25 to like $400 (ridiculous, I know), so there are options for your budget and needs.
EDIT
While I was at Nerstrand, this happened. I’m not sure how things got bent, but they did. I…persuaded…it open and while I was sitting on it, the support broke. Thankfully, my butt didn’t end up on the ground, but I spent the weekend without a chair.

What kind of chair do you bring with you? Comment below :)
