May Gear Highlight: Table

  • by

Welcome to May’s gear highlight! I will cover my Coleman Outdoor Folding Table. I have a State Park adventure post coming this month, so keep an eye out :)

Coleman Outdoor Folding Table

I have been going camping for decades and knew that I was not going to go out on my own without a table. Rain is always a thing here, so I would not be stuck sitting on the floor trying to play cards, games, or the like while waiting for it to pass. It has come in handy in more ways than that though.

Aside from using it for entertainment, I have used it as a desk when the bugs were ridiculous and I wanted to get some writing done, use it as an extra cooking surface, used it to hold gear when it needs to be off the floor, etc. You know, just about anything a table can do. The Coleman Outdoor Folding Table is a simple, no frills, table and gets the job done.

Likes

  • Portable, coming with it’s own carrying case that is larger than the product, so it actually fits inside easily.
  • Lightweight, weighing in at about 10 pounds (4.54 kg)
  • Can hold up to 100 pounds (45.36 kg)
  • Easy to put together, it only goes one way
  • Sturdy and stable

Dislikes

There isn’t much to dislike about the table. Like I said, it is pretty basic and gets the job done. The only dislike I have is that it can be a little short. I have long legs, so getting them under the support requires a shorter chair, which I no longer have. This issue could be solved fairly easily with feet extenders or something similar.

Price

At the time I purchased it, the table cost about $40. Not bad for something like this. For me it was a good investment.

If you’d like to see something specific I use highlighted in next month’s post comment it below! You can find the majority of my gear here.
